Every year the Europa Super Show gets bigger and better, and the 2006 competition was no exception. Both the pro and NPC competition was red hot, and we took our cameras and camcorders backstage to get up-close footage of these awesome competitors pumping, oiling and posing as they prepared to go on-stage. The result is a two-DVD set with more than two hours of footage, including 72 minutes of the pros and 56 minutes of the NPC bodybuilders. The pro classes were star-studded with local favorites Quincy Taylor, Johnnie Jackson and Art Atwood as well as huge, ripped bodybuilders from all over the world. Toney Freeman of Atlanta proved too tough to beat and captured first place in the competition. Quincy Taylor showed up in his best-ever shape to take second place, followed by the always impressive Johnnie Jackson. Shapely and ripped Darrem Charles took fourth and massive Art Atwood finished fifth. Silvio Samuel of Nigeria placed sixth with a compact but super dense physique, and there's plenty of backstage footage of this rising star on the pro backstage video. Also competing in the event were Lyndon Belgrave, Shehab Eldin, George Farah, David Fisher, Marcus Haley, Roland Huff, Tricky Jackson, King Kamali, JoJo N'Tiforo, Frank Roberson, Rodney St. Cloud, Joel Stubbs, George Turman, Idrise Ward-El, Dennis Wolf, and Nathan Wonsley. The NPC show likewise featured a boatload of talent, including overall open winner Daryl Jones, perennial masters superstar Lance Johnson, and bodybuilder-model Shaun Eckhardt.
