Heavy Duty Lightweight

David Henry

Henry has been bodybuilding off and on for the past six years. He is currently stationed
at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas. He started bodybuilding at the age of 16.

"A native of San Antonio, I had to do a local show," Henry explained. "My very first
show was the Lackland Classic in 1991." He placed third in the lightweight novice class.

Other competitions for Henry include the Mr. Osan (South Korea) 1998, first place and
most muscular award, middleweight; North Texas 2000, first place, lightweight novice;
and the Southwest Naturals 2000, first place in the men's lightweight open class.

"Over the years I have done my own contest prep and nutrition program. I had a problem
with water retention, and judges said I should have come in harder. Since then I have made
dramatic changes," he explained. "Every show I feel better and better. Recently I picked up a little
training advice from Price Harrison of Optimum Fitness. He nudged me in the right direction for
diet and contest preparation. I'd like to thank him for what he's done for me on his website.

"My future plans include competing in a national qualifier show, and hopefully competing
on a national level. Other plans include pro status in the near future. My goals are to put on
more lean muscle mass and compete as a middleweight in 2001."
